Coronavirus trading update
Along with our clients, we continue to learn from the last few weeks of restricted movement. The importance of the internet has never been more obvious. The ready availability of technology to allow us to conduct our business away from the 'office' has been a revelation to some, business as usual for others.
As we now enter into a gradual increase in commercial activity we are beginning to see our suppliers conducting more site surveys and on premise visits. Whilst there are some variations between suppliers, in general terms we are seeing a return to normal levels of supply for most of our services. From our perspective we are now back to business as usual, ensuring we adhere to all the social distancing and employee welfare recommendations.
We have seen a significant reduction in the number of support cases as you would expect during the last eight weeks as our clients trading has been restricted. We are however now experiencing demand in activity on projects that have been on hold for a while.
With a little re organisation our office is ready to return to. We're in no rush though. If anything productivity and collaboration has improved whilst we have been remote working. We're very conscious our carbon footprint has been substantially reduced as our commute stopped. We have also been very fortunate that we have space at home to dedicate to our business activity. In turn this has led to more family time and increased our ability to help our extended families and friends.
We're keen to take advantage of everything we have learned during lockdown, our own experiences and those shared by our clients. We want to make sure we take the best out of this period going forward.
If you have any questions or would like to share your experience we would love to hear from you.
